The Summer Mural Program at the Center for the Arts is an annual FREE program (with support from the New York Business Development Council and The Brockway Foundation) that invites students in Grades 6-12 to explore the arts by connecting them to their peers, local artists and community members and giving them a creative voice that enriches the quality of life in the Homer community.
This year’s program will be led by Bryan Valentine Thomas, a multimedia artist whose practice encompasses installation, sculpture as well as two-dimensional work confronting socio-political topics. Bryan has over twenty years of experience teaching college level art courses in Drawing, Design and Sculpture. This summer will celebrate his third collaboration with Homer Center for the Arts youth mural program.
Bryan is also a lecturer in the Art & Art History Departments at SUNY Cortland.
