Center Summer Theater Camp

Center Summer Theater Camp is a collaboration between Center for the Arts of Homer and Access to Arts Cortland, a project of Cortland Collective Impact Initiatives.

The camp’s goal is to create an inclusive experience where students find a community of support and acceptance, giving them the courage to try new things.

We firmly believe that theater and the arts are for everyone!

All programs run July 10th-21st, Monday-Friday from 9am till 2pm, with a performance on the final day of camp. 

Junior Camp is for students entering grades 3-6, and includes:

-fun theater games to develop new skills
-introduction to the world of theater, and everything it takes to put on a show!
-learn from experienced professionals, and older student mentors
-participate in the end of camp show!

Senior Camp is for students entering grades 7-9, and includes:

-fun workshops about all aspects of theater, taught by professionals
-week two choose what to specialize in, from tech to musical theater
-participate in the end of camp show!

Mentor camp is for students entering grades 10-12, and includes:

-lead a camp group in games and competitions
-week two choose a specialty from tech to costumes and makeup to musical theater
-participate in and help direct the end of camp show!

Total program cost: $100 ($50 PER WEEK), scholarships are available.
