Are You Game?

Need a laugh or two?  Need to stretch your brain a bit?  Consider coming to “Are You Game?” at the Homer Center for Arts. A weekly daytime game and art hang-out.

Playing Mahjongg or Pitch

Game time is 1:00 PM every Wednesday.

“Are You Game”  is geared for both beginners and experienced players.

Years ago, Dorothy Hopkins developed a simpler form of the game of mahjongg so that newcomers could learn and enjoy the game.  If you are playing for the first time, it is helpful to pair you with a more experienced player until you are comfortable playing on your own.   Periodically throughout the year, we  play the official form of Mahjongg which has universal rules, scoring, and is a bit more competitive.  It too can be entertaining if you are up for the challenge.

The card game pitch can be fun as well.  We play individually or with partners depending on how many players show up.  Players bid on their hand hoping to have high, low, jack and game while opponents are trying to prevent the bidder from reaching their bid.

“Are You Game?”  is designed to be an enjoyable time.

All are welcome.

See you on Wednesday!
